- Nello Barile
Nello Barile teaches Sociology of Media and Sociology of Fashion at IULM University in Milan. He graduated in Sociology, majoring in !Communication and Mass Media” at the University of Rome !La Sapienza”. His studies analy- ze the interaction between culture, communication and consumption. He has participated in nume- rous international conferences as a keynote speaker, chair and panelist, including the MiT conference in Boston (2019) on Media in Transition 10: Democracy and Digital Media. He has been a visi- ting professor at the ECA/ USPI University of São Paulo, Brazil, and at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. He has published numerous books, articles, and short essays in Italy, as well as in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Brazil, and Russia. His most recent monograph is: Barile, N. (2022), Communication in the new hybrid ontologies: from Plat- form to the Metaverse, Milan: Bocconi University Press.
